Rosemeadow-Appin Anglican Churches is seeking to employ a Ministry Support Coordinator (MSC).

The MSC will provide administrative support to the Ministry Team and Parish Wardens, and be the first point of contact for external enquiries. They will report to the Senior Minister or their appointee.

Your organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a small team environment and demonstrate initiative are vital to this role. The role has some flexibility to suit the gifts and abilities of the successful applicant.

The role is permanent part-time, 1 – 1.5 days per week, to be agreed at appointment. This position has the possibility of flexible working hours to be mutually negotiated.

Duties & Responsibilities
A full job description will be available upon appointment. The following list is indicative of the kinds of duties & responsibilities involved:

• Reception, including incoming calls, emails, and in-person enquiries

• Assisting the Parish Wardens
o Obtaining quotes & arranging tradesmen
o Organising property compliance
o Drafting grant applications
o Other administrative matters

• Assisting the Ministry Team
o Photocopying
o Safe ministry compliance
o Records management
o Other administrative matters

• General Administrative Matters & Housekeeping
o Maintaining kitchen & office supplies
o Website & Facebook updates
o Potential coordination of volunteers

Education & Experience
• Previous experience in an administration role of at least a similar level

Required Skills
• Discretion and confidentiality are required in performing duties
• A team player with well-developed communication and people skills
• Capability with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher

Desirable Qualities
The following skills/training/experience would be an advantage:
• A working knowledge of Elvanto (or comparable database software)
• A working knowledge of MYOB (or comparable bookkeeping software)
• Demonstrated experience of submitting grant applications
• Demonstrated experience of using blogging and social media platforms
• Certificate level or higher in Theology

Remuneration
Remuneration & conditions will be according to the Clerks (Private Sector) Award.
